I have recently purchased the baseball academy and I want to get back to working with the kids and help them reach the next level. I have found so many of my athletes to be way behind in their fundamentals when they arrive at Fleming Island. My goal is not only to help prepare them for the next level in baseball but to also take these lessons and apply them to their life.
Tony Cannaday Instructor and Coach at Hardknoxx Baseball Academy. I specialize in Hitters, Infielders, Pitchers, and Catchers. I have had the privilege to play at the next level and it is my goal to help as many athletes as possible be successful at the next level. Whether that is high school, college, or beyond that. My goal is to make the athletes not only better at the physicality’s in the game of baseball, but to make a direct impact on their lives moving forward. My background began playing at Middleburg High School against Jeremiah Klosterman, where I was a two sport athlete. I played Football and Baseball, I was Quarterback and Infielder at Middleburg High School. I was First Team All District and All Conference in both sports. I lead the team in average with a .405 average. I then had the opportunity to play College Baseball at Middle Georgia College for two years where we won the GJCAA Conference two years straight and were ranked in the top 10 junior colleges both years I was in attendance with a 46-14 record and had five players drafted. At Middle I lead the team in extra base hits with 24 doubles and accumulated a .320 batting average and was nominated to First Team All Conference Tournament Team where I hit .570 with 6 doubles in the Conference Tournament (4 Games). My second season I ended with a .340 average. I then went on to play at Brewton Parker College at the NAIA Division where I played every position on the infield. I played every position in the infield throughout my collegiate career. After I got done playing baseball in college, I attended the University of North Florida where I received my degree in Sports Management and will be going to school to get my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. I will be working directly with Hitters, Pitchers, and Infielders to get them better at every facet of the game. I am the Assistant Coach of the CBC/Hardknoxx 14U and 16U baseball clubs that will be using the Hardknoxx Baseball Academy. I have experience with inspiring athletes and making an impact on the people around me to make them better players and better people. I believe in building an athlete’s character in addition to their athletic ability. Our goal is to develop athletes on and off the field. We want to make our athletes that come through this academy champions on and off the diamond. Hard work is what it takes to make it and I will give you everything I have to allow growth and success in each athlete.
